What is Isis?
Isis, or Islamic State of Iraq and Levant, is a terrorist organization that operates in the middle east. It became known nationally after the death of Osama Bin Laden, the terrorist leader of AL Qaeda. Just like Al Qaeda, they share a strong hatred for the west, especially the U.S. Why? Because they believe the western culture goes against their religion.

History
Isis was formed in 1999 by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi who than pledged the groups allegiance to Osama Bin Laden, who founded Al Qaeda in 1988. Al Qaeda and Isis were allies until 2014 when the new leader of Al Qaeda, after the death of Osama Bin Laden in 2011, disavowed Isis and denied having any relationship with them.
