History
The Soviet Union, an alliance that combined Russia, Belarus, Transcaucasia, and Ukraine, was formed in 1922, and became a significant world power in very quick time. The USSR was an ally of America, Britain, France, and more, and was an enemy of Nazi Germany after they betrayed the pact made between them and the Soviet Union during World War 2. After World War 2, tensions between the U.S. and Russia increased exponentially. Which began the Cold War. A long and tiring conflict that lasted until 1991.

Vladimir Putin

Russia is a very dangerous enemy to make because of their large military and nuclear armament. In the past year, or so, Vladimir Putin, current leader of Russia, began the campaign in Ukraine, which is Russia aiding Separatist forces in Ukraine who are fighting that anti-Soviet Ukrainian government. America does not like this because Putin's sole intention of doing this is to re-establish the Soviet Union. And nobody in the west wants that. Putin is no fool. Russia has also been aiding the fight against Isis after Isis detonated a bomb on a Russian airliner. Hopefully America and Russia can come together to face Isis together. Because if they can't get along, Putin is the one with the nukes. I don't feel like being bombed to smithereens today, thank you. You know what they say. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
